Mustang ABS Light

I have a 2001 Muntang GT and i am having troubel diagnosing an ABS trouble light.

The ABS light comes on after about 10-15 min. driving, the Track Control turns off at the same time.

I have tried a couple diagnostic tools but they failed to work. currently i am using the Actron BreakScan.

Everything works when there is not ABS light but whenever i try to scan with an ABS trouble light, the scanners indicate a communication error and tell me to check my connection. when the ABS light clears, the scanner reads normal again.

Since i have tried 2 scanner brands with the same result, i assume the problem is my car.

Does anyone know why the scanners fail to read codes when the ABS light is on?
