D13 HPD 95
Evening Ford lovers, right i have had my loverly 1.25 mk7 for a couple of years now and have the J1 air filter installed for 2,000 miles now, but i want more power.... without buying a 1.4 or bigger as insurance for my 1.25 is £2000+ a year -.- sucks being 18 at times.. i was looking to get the car remapped but a DIY bluefin kit, i emailed superchips and no reply. does any one know of a bluefin kit that will do this ?? or is it a case of custom maps only for the 1.25 petrol of course. and is there any over ways to improve torque ?? have lightweight alloys on the way so saving some weight i guess lol any help much appreciated :)
b1g_dav3
You'd be looking at about 5 - 6bhp; not worth it whatsoever.
D13 HPD 95
what about torque??? n anything else i can do to get anything else from it ??
iNath
Pretty sure a remapped 1.25 will be more on insurance than a standard 1.

LittleBIGfiesta
Just wait a few years and work your way up! Kids....tut
sambooka
Just wait a few years and work your way up! Kids....tut The best advice. Otherwise a custom remap is probably your only option but the gains won't be anything big and it won't be cheap
D13 HPD 95
Just wait a few years and work your way up! Kids....tut too eager lol and insurance is a joke for even a standard 1.4 for myself :( anyone got any good looking visuals mods to do ?? and simple performance upgrades ?? anyone recommend an exhaust that will fit my car??? craiglr
to be honest i wouldn't bother wasting your money looking for more power, your only gonna see small gains by changing exhaust and intake with a re-map and up your insurance, id personally just do the visual mods get the car to look how you want. Stewie316
Honestly you'll never be fully satisfied until you get a 1.6 or better. I once drove a 1.25 Fiesta Style 5dr courtesy car 82PS and that still incredibly close to the performance of my 1.4. The only difference was i seem to red line it a little faster. The only thing i had modded on my fiesta was the chrome grill + K&N Air Filter. Best to wait awhile or move to an area where insurance is considerably cheaper. FOCA
The 1.25, 1.4 and 1.6 are basically the same but with different bore/ strokes , so the ECU will be basically the same, IMO
