SeanW
Hi folks, A very good friend of mine has a a wee problem with his Fusion ('02 plate diseasal). The bonnet release arm under the grill has snapped off - the previous owner has tried bodging it with a jubilee clip, a bit of wire and a couple of screws. You sort have to reach under, grab it and pull it across whilst trying not to lift the bonnet too high...fine for somebody like Flat Stanley - but not real human hands! How difficult is it to replace it? Can he just replace the arm, or is it a whole catch change job? (By "he"I mean probably me) I had a very quick look, but couldn't see it well enough. Gombal
Just get a new one at the dealer, pry the old one of (it's just clicked on, you can see it if you look behind the radiator/beneath the bonnet locking mechanism) Push the new one in through the hole just above the bumper and click it on. That's it!
