Gloss Black Both St Front Grills

Hi guys n girls I wanna get both my st front grills glossed black

I'll be taking it to the body shop for it but I want it done properly ie dont want it to start peeling n stuff over time etc

Whats the best way to do it so I can tell the bodyshop I want it that way

When painting that type of plastic I would recommend removing the parts yourself and dropping them off early so they can be prepped and primed and left to key correctly for a few days. Before colouring this gives a better chance of not flaking but nothing is 100%.

I would hope the body shop know how to paint plastics properly in the first place... However,

Prep is the key here, it will take a good couple of days to do the job right unless they have a baking oven for small items.

as others have said, if the bodyshop know what they are doing then you shouldnt have a problem. I did mine myself, sanded each honeycombe down, washed and cleaned eached honeycombe before applying a few layers of primer, then VW Diamond Black and then a few layers lacquer (took 2 days to do this). I sprayed both sides so to avoid any missed areas!

I haven't really done any mods recently i think iv ran out of ideas lol

But as soon as I do something I will deffo post it here
