jeebowhite Posted August 19, 2013 Share Posted August 19, 2013 I am going to argue the balance.. I have driven to my dealer who was a mile away in limp home mode. Limp home mode, is the means for the car to get you home, but at a reduced output that will cause the minimal amount of damage possible. Therefore (whilst I cannot accept responsibility for any result of your vehicle) if you are round the corner, and being threatened with a £200 bill for the lift, or you can drive it down the road in limp home mode, there is no reason you couldnt drive it, but make an informed decision - understanding that ultimately the risk is yours. Given thought that limp home is active and that the ending isnt refusing to start with all sorts of "engine, transmission, system failure" lights flashing all over the place, I cant see it destroying your car.
