My question is on the tyres, I upgraded them to the 17". 205 sec tyres, Factory upgrade. Can you explain the diffrence between the 195and the 205. Will I notice any diffrence and which is better. alexp999 Posted August 15, 2013 Share Posted August 15, 2013 195 vs 205 is the width. 205 is wider, usually means a restricted lock due to the size of the wheels in the arches. If you want to go back to 195 tyres it will need to be 16" wheels and have the rack limiter removed. Biggest difference will be more tramlining on wider tyres, i.e. car will pull itself around on imperfections in the road more. tomroscoe Posted August 15, 2013 Share Posted August 15, 2013 It certainly won't be dangerous by any means, but the ride will be harsher and therefore generally noisier because the tyre has much less sidewall to absorb road shocks. alexp999 Posted August 16, 2013 Share Posted August 16, 2013 You don't technically have to remove the rack limiter, its just that with 17" alloys they fit a limiter to stop the wheels fouling the arches. hotrodian Posted August 16, 2013 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Chill out man, you arnt gonna notice any difference what so ever. the 17s will have a lower side wall aspect (hight) so in theory shouldn't have so much sidewall deflection of a higher profile tyre, so unless you are gonna emulate lewis Hamilton you wont notice that, from experience ( I have the same fiesta as you have ordered, with 17 inch wheel option) you will defiantly feel the potholes on the crap roads these days, the up side is your eye sight will improve trying to spot them.
