Hey Guys/Girls,

For the past few days i've been having a few issues with my Ford Focus 1.8 tdci 2003 Zetec.

To cut a long story short everytime i've been driving the car from the engine being completely cold overnight it heats up to temp within a mile to mile and a half and its never done that before and now the fan seems to be constantly on all the time aswell!

When i had it serviced i noticed it had next to no coolant in the tank which was strange as i checked it a couple week prior!

Just a little concerning with the fan constantly being on and the car getting upto middle temp so quickly which it never used to do the car has just done 150k Miles

Hope some of you people can help !

Regards

Kieran

Yeah topped up the coolant about 2 days ago now and it seems to be holding in there nicely now but the same issues with the heating up rapidly and fan constantly on is there.

does it run hot? if its not using coolant could it be the ac fan running, tbh mine heats up quite rapidly although only had him a few months

Could be sediment in the coolant pipes/radiator.

Try squeezing the hoses along their full length (when cold) to see if theres any clogs.

May be worth getting the word from a decent garage and maybe a flush of the cooling system and all new coolant put in.
