alexp999
Well I thought it was about time I rolled all my threads in to one and save spamming the Focus forum each time I do something to the Focus I said I wouldn't do anything with when I bought it Day of pickup and saying goodbye to my 2010 Fiesta Titanium 1.6 TDCi: My 2012 Focus Titanium X 2.0 TDCi after her first wash, the weekend after I picked it up. Preee
Very nice Alex , i like the Zetec S grill and the Fogs i will have to do some searching :)
alexp999
Thanks, got my rear spoiler ordered last week and on it's way, though as mentioned in your thread it will be a couple of weeks due to me beating them up on price, so is on a slow service, lol. Just hope it doesn't take too long for the sun to blend it in, could look a bit wierd to start with as there is no colour matching "needed", they'll just make up the colour my car was painted when new.... I got the Fogs in from the US (genuine ones), but my dealer was quite happy to fit them for me when they did the grille. I would have done the grille myself if not for the parking sensors, it was practically impossible to get the grille off my old Fiesta because of them. Preee
My spoiler still has a slight difference in shade , but i'm not that bothered as you can only see it if you focus on it.

alexp999
Got a message this morning to say the spoiler was ready :O Thought it was going to be ages, only problem was I popped in at lunch and there is a mark on it, so is having to go back to the body shop to see if they can buff it out. Still much quicker than planned so shouldn't be long now :D
Preee
Wow that was quick , but sad that they call you out and not check their work.
alexp999
In their defence it was a pretty minor mark only picked up by the halogens in the showroom. It looks just like a slight surface mark on the lacquer so hopefully won't take too long to sort. The guy was more than happy to get it sorted, said it needs to be right and he'll get it done. :) With any luck they'll get it done tomorrow and I can pick it up ready to fit this weekend. b4zz
that was very quick fella and will wait for the pics to arrive on here once they have sorted the defect out on it
alexp999
Not ready yet, message has been left for bodyshop to call me on Monday to let me know how they are getting on. I was happy to wait before when I thought it would be ages. Now I know it's sat up there 99% done its become an agonising wait, lol.
alexp999
Got a phone call just after lunch to say it was ready. They ended up re-spraying it, said it wouldn't look right otherwise. Just picked it up and it is now sat in the back of my car ready to be fitted, now the big question, will there be enough time to fit it this evening when I get in from work.......? alexp999
Here it is when I got home: I have literally just finished fitting it about 10mins ago, looks mint but there is not enough light left to take a pic so you guys will have to wait till tomorrow now :P One thing I did notice though, the little clear rubber pads on the corners don't actually make contact with anything, are they supposed to?

alexp999
After waiting an age for my phone to upload these to Dropbox, I can finally post up some pics I took at lunch time of the spoiler fitted :D Really pleased, will take some better ones with the DSLR at the weekend after I have washed the car as it is filthy from dirty rain at the moment. (What you can't see from the pics is that the spoiler is the only clean part of the car, lol).
alexp999
Managed to wash the car at the weekend, although it rained straight after >.< Was a nice evening when I got back from work today though so thought I would take some better pics:

alexp999
Alex , Top notch job mate , make's and stands so much better :) , welcome to the ZS spoiler club :) Thanks, really impressed with the colour matching considering it hasn't been out in the sun long. The camera makes the plastic body panels look a slightly different colour, but in the metal you wouldn't even know the spoiler had not been on since the beginning. Seeing your car next to mine at FF made the back of mine look so bare, almost naked, lol. Had to be done. Oh and btw, have you had a chance to find out what the miracle black plastic stuff is? I have had a look at some of the off the shelf stuff but am not convinced.
