jamesm182
Have you tried using it with more than one accessory? Sometime chargers etc are all individually fused if you unscrew the ends?
tomroscoe
Maybe a daft question, but is your 12v socket perma-live or only on with the ignition on?
Mojoclo
Thanks both, I 've tried other chargers. Sat nav, phone charger etc. Tomroscoe, I don't know. How do I tell perma live from not?
Stoney871
If you have permanent live the socket will work even with the ignition off. With some plug in chargers the contacts sometimes don't touch the inside of the socket properly due to different socket diameters and depths. Make sure the positive terminal on the charger is actually in far enough to touch the bottom of the socket.
Mojoclo
Unfortunately I can't tell if I have permanent live or not as the socket does not work at all! Is this a known regular fault or am I just unlucky?
tomroscoe
Did you get this sorted Mojoclo?
