Franko
Hey Everyone.. (Newbie) Recently picked up My 1.4 Zetec 3dr.. and just keep Making Excuses to.. GO OUT.. and Drive...!!! Been reading the forum for a couple of weeks now and have learnt so much.. e.g changing the foot-well bulbs to Red.. Which works a Treat..! Just wondered if anyone could tell me how to remove the interior bulb above the rear view mirror. and also what type of bulb I would need to change this to red.? The handbook says I need a "w6w 6watt" Any advice or links to buying these bulbs would be much appreciated..

The bulb I used was exactly the same as used in the footwells Ray
Franko
Just to say thanks to you Guys for the reply.. Totally understand why our OH's want to Drive OUR Motors... Especially when You've got a car like your's Michelle.. Surely your OH can get to the shops and back in no time... with such a Quick & Good looking Motor..... p.s Ray I used 501 W5W T10 bulbs RED from eBay for my foot-wells. Would these fit the interior light..?
rocky1722
To remove interior light, Stick flat blade screwdriver (wrapped in piece of cloth ;) ) into the gap that's right in the centre of the edge that's nearest the front windscreen and pull gently towards you and down. Interior light should drop down towards you then a bit of fiddling to release the 2 small lugs on the other edge and that should be you. Original bulbs are W5W 501 capless bulbs. Replaced mine with xenon white (blueish) LED. Refit in opposite order, job done. :P
