Wiring For Ambient Lighting

can someone give me some information on wiring ambient lighting.

I have missile style switch which has got three pins on it

1.on and labelled 20A

2.off 12V

3.is the earth

how do i connect up the switch from the power switch and also the switch to the lights.

Also being 12V and 20A what cable do i need to use?

Cable wise 1.5mm conductor size can handle 20A if left floating ie just tucted away not glued or clipped to anything, as per wiring i would say wire 1 as positive and 3 as negative

If the switch have 3 terminals, and one is marked with GND that mens that the switch itself needs both positive and negative. Does it light up or something when its on?

You connect your 12v feed on terminal #2, the lights on terminal #1, and let the GND on #3 be optional... Its only needed If you want the light on the switch to work.

Yes absolutely right it has a light , which coloure is which in the lighter?
