Focus Radio Fascia

Hi all,

I have a 2006 Focus Ghia with the 6000CD radio system.

The radio surround is a horrible plastic wood-effect style, and doesn't match with any of the car.

(The surround, not the radio).

I have seen a few people on here with a silver surround like this:

Will I be able to get one from Ford, or will I have to spray my current one?

I've tried eBay, but all I seem to be able to find are Double Din conversion surrounds, which I don't believe would fit.

Thanks in advance :).

They are available from Ford.

I take it that you are after the one for an oval (Gen3) radio?

I'll dig out the code for you later today.

They do come up on eBay occasionally too.

The wood effect one is standard in the Ghia spec car and are rarer than the silver ones.

You'd get a good price on eBay for it.

Cheers for the reply. No, mines the rectangular one, like in the left picture with the silver fascia. I also didn't even think of selling mine on eBay *facepalm*

I'll head down to my local ford stealer later then :).

I would spray that one you have its not hard rub down

and make sure you do it in a dust free warm room

I'm happy to attempt spraying it, but tbh, I'd want a spare one just in case I messed it up. Also, there isn't anywhere inside that I could do it, so I'd have to do it outside. And as it's winter, it might take ages to dry etc. TBH, it'll just be easier to buy a silver one already.

You could also look at getting yours Hydro dipped in all manner of Carbon fibre styles,or something else if it takes your fancy, i managed to get mine done for my old Focus CC for £20 by a mate who is dabbling as a side line, but was also quoted £20 by a place in Leicester that do it. Have a search for places near you and see what you come up with.
