Hello all, basically was introduced to the site today through a friend who uses the site so thought id set up and have a go!

I'll start by showing what i drive! It's a 2004 ST170 in Silver, 80,000 miles, and i'm the third owner from new.

Just put on a set of BBS alloys and coilovers- im not 100% with how it is sitting at the minute, so it shall be going lower over the next few days! On the cards are to get a few small dings sorted and a smooth front and rear bumper!

Since I'm at it, may aswell share my Dads' car too- MK2 Focus RS, 14,000 miles, pretty tidy example! Modifications include FlyEyes tint, Superchips re-map, and a mongoose exhaust.

Welcome Adam. Nice motor you have there. I think the ride height looks great. Too low and they can look a bit chavvy. I'm well jealous of your Dads Jam Jar.

Agreed looks the right height - too low and it slows the car down, too - watch out for the rears going out at the bottom (you might wear out the inside of your tyres rapidly) - i may be wrong but it looks like that in some of the pics

Love the color and the wheels (st170)- really suits the car - & i like the nice, clean, unmolested lines - subtle

Cheers mate- yeh it's something like natural camber i've been told, it's nothing too excessive like i've know some cars to be... Not really one for following trends but have only seen about 3 Focus's with these wheels, and none of them were the 170 so thought i'd just ive it a bash!

Thanks for the positive response people!! What are people's views on a coloured roof? I've for fly eye tint (same as dads) for my headlights and want a roof different to stand out that little bit more! Suggestions please/ even photoshop if anyone's good;)

Cheers!!

The ST170 looks grand man.

Might be a strange suggestion, but have you thought about smoothing out the boot lid? I'm quite into modifying and I reckon a smoothed out Focus would look sweet.

Nice rims, great choice!

Love the father and son thing too, my old man is a big ford man, trying to get him signed up on here :)

Ah fair enough, I'm very quick to suggest stuff for other peoples cars but not sure I'd have the balls to do that to mine. Haven't seen it done myself that I can remember.

You had me looking at ST's yesterday, I could do with something a little more 'winter friendly' than my battered cabbie!

Whereabouts in Cambridgeshire you based mate? Interested in bringing her to any meets/shows?

Bit of advice- they're a fortune on fuel so probably not the most viable car to run haha I'm looking into getting a mk5 Zetec S just to use for winter so I can save the st haha

You say that but I'm not getting more than 30 to the gallon the way I drive in my escort so I doubt I'd notice much difference.

And I'm getting fed up with sitting in damp seats, waiting 10 minutes before I can set off anywhere whilst I clear the car and she warms up and all of the other lovely comforts that come with owning a 23 y/o convertible haha!

Shouldn't be my daily, luckily I can walk to work but I don't have anything else to take out on a weekend at the minute.

Plus those BBS's have got me dreaming ;)

Ah fair play! Mine gets under that and I drive carefully... Sometimes...

And yeh sounds good! I am impressed with the wheels to be honest but I am still not completely sold on them- I have mood swings as to whether I like them or not!
