markw96 Posted November 10, 2013 Share Posted November 10, 2013 Hi all, well I brimmed my tank last night and this morning I have had the eml light & dpf light come on. I've checked the error code and it's saying that the dpf fluid is low! I have a couple of questions really? 1: would it be ok to continue driving the car like this, if so how long for? 2: should I just get the dpf gutted and get a remap? I could probably get the fluid topped up cheap as I have a mate that works at fords but what I'm wondering is what's the life span of the dpf ? Is it likely to be needed to be replaced soon? dreadz Posted November 12, 2013 Share Posted November 12, 2013 had the same issue on mine after the wife filled up-lights came on. decided to get dpf removed, egr mapped out and remap. more than likely the dpf will fail not to far after resulting in even higher costs than remap/removal. plus you get no more issues in regards to the oil being diluted with diesel when a regen happens...much better for your car internals 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
