Dougie83
HI Folks, I seem to be getting a weird noise coming from the rear brakes, which can only be described as if it's a farting/squeak noise coming from the rear of the car when i press the brake pedal. It seems to be getting a little louder as the days go on. Im driving a 2008 Focus 1.6 Style. Another thing is in the snow/slippy road conditiions, when the ABS is active, it seems very very clunky, which you can feel through the brake pedal, not the usual ABS feeling, just so noisy and clunky. Im due to make a 1000 mile round trip over the xmas period, does it sound like a simple fix (maybe brake pads..?) or something a bit more serious? Cheers! eliaskok
That sounds like brake pads. You might need to replace them, just take the wheel off and check them.
jeebowhite
Make sure that the disk is not damaged at all, you need a perfect groove free disk otherwise new pads will be wasted. You may need to replace disks too!
