adamCCC
Hello, I have changed the battery in my key (fiesta flame 2004), now it wont work at all. I have tried the reprogramming process in the manual ( turning from position 0 to 2 four times within 6 seconds and pressing a button). When i do this, there is a beep after the 4 turns, but no conformation beep when i press a button on the key. Could anyone help? Thanks
Stoney871
Check that the battery contacts as sometimes they get pinched when fitting a new battery and may not touch the RCL circuit board correctly.
adamCCC
do you mean the 3 little prongs? does it matter where abouts they are touching the battery? i.e. the top or underneath? or do you mean the golden plates on the circuti board side of the key? Krose
battery changing is a bugger sometimes. Had same problem with mine few weeks ago, I would open it up clean all contacts and maybe scrape a little to ensure good contacts then retry programming, took 20 minutes and maybe 20 goes to actually get mine to work. Keep trying to reprogram at least a good dozen times.
