The hardest part on removing egr is the cat but once you got the car up in the air (on axel stands or ramps) it's not to bad looks worse than it is

Maybe the easiest for you would to pull egr pipe off and blank it off as a quick fix

Ive put a blanking plate inbetween the egr valve and the pipe to the exhaust manifold but it made no difference.

Looks like it's time to take egr off and give it a good clean

if the egr is blanked off, then its been disabled, so in theory taking it off and cleaning it is not going to make any difference???

could be wrong tho....

That was what i thought that if i blanked it on then i didnt have to clean it.

This is true sorry I was thinking on the lines of the car would start and run in limp mode with egr unplugged, wasn't thinking of bigger picture

Ok had the car plugged and and tried to gather some information using the measuring tools on the software. Fuel pressure is about 21000.0 bar to 25000.0 bar when car is running on idle. Mass air flow reading 1.895 v when running on idle. Cylinder 1 2.001 nmb on idle, cylinder 2 showing 0 nmb, cylinder 3 2.001 nmb, cylinder 4 0 nmb. Egr valve showing 0.00.

Ive had it to a mecanic who said there is a high pressure fuel switch on the back of the fuel pump that needs changing.

If u check ur live data while driving when problem occurs fuel pressure should drop if problem with pump or imv
