Cam Belt Changing

Hi Guys, I've got a Ford Focus 2008 1.6 Zetec, my cars done 67k.

I'm just wondering whens the best time to get it changed and how much does it usually cost?

If i get the parts which is the best cam belt to get?

So yours petrol 100k or 8 years an all depends genuine or spurious parts main dealer or indi garage it's bout 3 hour job so ring round get few prices

is it just the derv thats chain driven?

yes, i know mines chain driven and is 120k/10 years, was just wondering if the petrol was the same

Yours has a belt an chain but u need check on some them there's a wet belt instead of the chain an these won't last if not serviced at exact interval wit correct oil

Say that's ur fan belt did u try spraying some wd40 or silicone spray see if noise stops

Ah.... As you probably can tell i dont know very much about cars etc, just the basic's....

But would still like to know how much a cam belt is for the future! would it be more cost effective if i bought the part?

Had my water pump two hoses and the cam belt done for 240 .
