2000 Focus 1.8 Airbag Problem

The airbag light is constantly on and it's been diagnosed as problem with the steering wheel clockspring. However there are two types of clockspring for this year model - with either small or large plug for the airbag connector. Without dismantling my steering wheel, is there any way to determine which one I need?

Unfortunately I dont believe there is. As its a 2000 it would be hard to say if its a MK1 or a MK 1.5 as its right in the changeover period, this would probably be the difference in size.
