Mk2.5 St Bonnet Lip

Hi guys went into fords today to price a replacent bonnet lip for my mk2.5 zetec however the fella behind the counter said all that was available for my model was the ready chromed one and it stated rhe primes only version was for the focus ST so are these the same size as the chrome ones does anyone know ?

Its only coz im gwtting mine sprayed body colour when i get me alloys refurbed so gunna buy a primed one coz rhe fella said he cant gaurantee it sticking to the chrome

Yeah that should be fine. The ST / RS bonnet lips are the same as the rest of the Focus 2.5 models.

just wrap it carbon black or plain black rather than spraying its plasticised chrome i think if it is than its like painting anything else just needs rubbed down unless its actual metal chrome ide go with the cheapest and wrap

Sorry to dig this one back up, but I can't find an answer to a question I have.

Has anyone got a photo showing what the bonnet looks like without the lips? Are there holes in the bonnet to fit said lip?

I'm looking at doing this mod myself and want to explore possibilities. Failing that, I'll sand it and spray it.

Yes if you open your bonnet up you can see where the fixings come through to keep it on

I thought that might be the case. Bugger.

I don't have the car yet, just thinking ahead. :) The chrome is god awful though! Matching it to the bonnet colour make it look more ninja for certain.

Yer they do look a lot better once theyre body colour like and mines black aswell so looks nice and mean haha the pic with the yellow circles is the underside of the bonnet were the bonnet lip fits

Massive improvement with that alone. The changed lower grill looks good too. Breaks up the Basking shark look.
