mark t
I know you can't get in the car if the key is in the house, in my case, 10 ft away. Yes, the key has to be within 2 ft to get the doors open, and, inside the car to start it!
Connected2009
Zetec S TDCI 1.6 the number 1. Had mine 15 months, best thing since sliced bread. Colin.
mrobins64495
Has to be titanium. I've got one, seems to have every extra under the sun on it, autodimming review mirror is a brill feature. Has the exterior pack, so looks identical to a Zetec S... Drives brilliantly, on my 120 miles a day. And i'm 21 and dont feel like a granny...if anything its a little more chav-tastic than I would of liked coming from an Alfa Mito as my last car. P.S Coming from the Alfa, anything that doesn't have suspension which feels like driving on bricks constantly and i'm happy
2011fiesta
Got to be the titanium. The list of features/extras just seems endless, its like a 'fully loaded' luxury car - especially with my auto box and arm rest lol
mark t
Has the exterior pack, so looks identical to a Zetec S... except for the chrome, and it sitting higher! I would say titanium, after getting zetec s! When i got my titanium, I added all you get with it now, both parking sensors, and keyless. I wanted zetec s, but wanted keyless entry, I wanted the kit, but wanted front parking sensors! Only had the zetec s since 4pm today, and keep trying to lock it with the button on the door handle! So far I haven't missed the auto diming rear view mirror, and auto aircon, also the cruise control, as I've done about 13 miles (been to the theatre!) Also keep leaving the lights on, and keep trying to open the locked boot, gonna take a while to get used to!!
lufc_lad
Zetec S all the way
scattytart
I have just got my fiesta titanium 1.6 and it is amazing!! I would definately go for the 2011 spec. Sony sterio as standard, 16 inch 16 spoke wheels!! Best car i have ever had!! Im in love with a car lol how strange am i lol

Sony sterio as standard, 16 inch 16 spoke wheels!! Best car i have ever had!! Im in love with a car lol how strange am i lol Do you find the ride hard? I have a Titanium on order and asked the dealership to get me smaller wheels for a smoother ride. Titanium is best, the Zetec S is okay when you're 17 and like big wheels and spoilers but I think the Titanium is a bit more sophisticated...Zetec S = street hooker and Titanium = high class escort girl :P
AndrewL
I'm sure scattytart likes a hard ride.
Loz Cheung
Ive never been able to figure this out! Went for a zetec S in the end, although i do wish i had cruise control....& a starter button...& now that sony head unit. I quite like the chrome too on the darker colours. hmmmm! Did consider speccing a titanium to look like a zetec s but werent keen at all on those leather seats that come with the 17's as part of that X pack :( Plus,i went for white which meant i could have the blue dashboard over the standard grey :D which becomes magenta on titanium.which is too pink. jmbrown91
if only you could get the blue dash on the titanium - i cant see why they dont let you have both colours to choose from..shame really
Londongirl8
My vote is for the Titanium, especially as I've ordered a spanking brand new 2011 Titanium in Panther Black. It'll be a nice step up from my previous fiesta as it's got the extras :D p.s if I were 21 (again) I'd have gone for the Zetec S
jmbrown91
I bet you're well excited! Looking forward to placing my order within the next few months. What Extras did you go for?
Londongirl8
I bet you're well excited! Looking forward to placing my order within the next few months. What Extras did you go for? Extras that I hopefully won't need, e.g. curtain airbag plus the options pack with the parking sensors etc, 16" 7-spoke alloys. I didn't go for the power start button as I just didn't like it - not sure why but it didn't appeal to me. I'm looking forward to trying out the new sony stereo...can't wait!!! jmbrown91
Sounds good :) yeah hopefully you won't need them :) I'm going for the dress up kit, rear parking sensors (city pack) and I decided the Keyless Entry would be quite a cool addition :) On the topic of this thread Titanium is the way forward :) especially as someone else in the thread said that it is easier to change a Titanium to a Zetec S than the other way round :) How long's your wait for your new pride and joy? Magenta
Cruise control alone was enough to persuede me to buy the Titanium. I find the Titanium ride is fairly firm as it is.

bondbill2k2
The starter button is pretty cool but more of a novelty then a practicality. I prefer the look of the ZS imo but again could say thats just cosmetic and not a practicality improvement, both very nice cars tho
Jedilard
I had the choice of either but went for the ZS. I was buying a 6mth old car so speccing up wasn't an option. Only feature I miss is Cruise. Have keyless entry on my Mazda 6 which although good doesn't really make life or driving any better. The alloys on the tit were too much like my old Mondeo Tit wheels so the ZS appealed more as they were different - and easier to clean! Seats in ZS are really comfy and the body kit just makes it look a bit different. Both great models and really down to personal choice. I might ask a silly question, but what happens if something goes wrong with the start button and the car won't start? Just curious... Jedilard
The physical key is contained in the fob. In my Mazda the ignition key hole is just covered by a plastic cover. Therefore simple case of flipping the cover off, remove the key from the fob and start the car.

MartynS
There's no key hole for the ignition; if the battery in the key dies you can hold it up against the barrel and start the car with the button still. Though I've always wondered what happens if something goes wrong mid crank - don't see any way of stopping it!
