Replacing Rear Reg Bulbs On Focus Zs

Featured Replies

Hi, I was just wandering if anyone has had any experiences replacing the rear reg bulbs on a focus zetec s? Attempted it earlier but looked very fragile and I nearly broke it, so just wandering if there was a technique or anything like that? Thanks for any help as always.

I've a Titanium but on mine I've slots to stick like a flat bladed screw driver. Push it in and they slot out.

Yeah just use this technique.

only a tiny screw driver, like a electrical tester size flat head............. 2008 facelift titanium owner

use a thin shafted flat head - precision screwdriver type, they work best in my experience with a bigger one you run the risk of damaging the plastic.

Yeah but how do I actually access the bulb? I've managed to get the light out of it's socket by using the small screwdriver but I don't know to actually get to the bulb to change it?

twist the bulb holder that goes into the light unit 90 degrees

But when I dislodge it it doesn't come down far enough to be able to twist it haha I must be doing something wrong but thanks for your help anyway higgs

I changed my bulbs but now my light unit won't sit back into the recess and is all loose. Anyone else had this? I must of bent the clips :(

If you've changed the bulbs for LED's are they fouling the body of the finisher?

Maybe try fitting one of the light units without a bulb in it and see if it's still loose.
