Power Steer Pipe Nut Into Pump

managed to remove old nut which holds pipe into pump only by bending the bracket above it back out of the way to gain access to it,is there an easier way to tighten new nut when replacing new pipe. thanks in advance. Spoonfoot

You tighten the nut and nylon washer in first then push the new pipe into the nut, should click into place when the recess in the pipe meets the circlip inside the nut.

When you say tighten the nut do you mean tight enough as not to need to touch it again . Thanks Paul

Tighten the nut to 57nm i believe (double check this figure first) with a Torque Wrench then push the pipe into the nut until you feel/hear it click into place.

Do not over tighten the nut as you can damage the pump.
