D13 HPD 95 Posted May 13, 2014 Author Share Posted May 13, 2014 Ok well a pretty !Removed! night so let's start for these when i came home Fitted the engine cover and engine bay is nearly done!!! :) Then i tried to open up a new set of headlights so i could paint the chrome inner well this is where it went wrong Here's the light And this is the result of heating plastic plastic up with a 600'c heat gun then i decided hey let's touch the metal nozzle on the heat gun and what i saw next was horrific my skin was melted instantly and left by ring on the gun i had no skin in my thumb so straight to a&e burns clinic saw a doctor they stopped bleeding number it and clean the cut. Now i have to have this bandaged changed every 2 days woo and if it doesn't heal a skin graph to replace the dead skin nice one Lesson learnt lights straight back in eBay!!!! Like the engine bay, looks really good. :D I use heat guns at work, can imagine just how easily your skin would have slid off your thumb! D13 HPD 95 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Share Posted June 5, 2014 Cheers Dan, good good glad to give people ideas :) i did wrap the interior white but it peeled off so i painted it blue, um roughly in all honestly its close to the 3 1/2k mark now, its silly little things, alloys 600, exhaust 300, maybe 300 on painted plastics, 200 on air filter, maybe 120 on lighting upgrades including hids, lowered 140, bigger 280mm brakes, plus loads of little things, ive added and removed and bought things and not fitted, new headlights 130, splitter 130, headlight brows 60, new sound system 600, spare wheel 80, sports pedals 60, the list goes on, but its my love child lol, my insurance wouldnt let me have anything bigger or high spec but i love my car and what ive done to it i wouldnt have changed it at all Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

D13 HPD 95 Posted June 23, 2014 Author Share Posted June 23, 2014 got a couple of things over the week, the short back areial which i have now removed it looked great but man was the reception bad i live in a seaside town and work their too and its bad fine inland but im always on the coast and love radio lol so its back on eBay, got an obd2 interface port and still trying to work out how to use it with my iPhone, ive modded the nbs styling bonnet strut bracket to fit with my strut brace just need to give it some new paint and get it on, then sound proof the rear of the car and a new boot carpet to get in :) its getting close to the end now !!! pics to follow Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
