HELP!!! Lowering my car.....advice pleassssse

Hey everyone!!

I have recently been awarded lots of compensation for a bad accident back in January! I now have a fiesta black and am thinking of doing lots of stuff to it, have already bought new alloys.

I Want to lower my car a wee bit because there is too much space above the new rims iv got. I really have NO idea about lowering my car

I know i need to buy new springs. What else will I need to buy to do a proper sound job. Money isnt too much of a problem at the moment although I dont want to spend loads obviously! How low can i go? What would you reccomended i lowered it by without having problems?

I have seen 60mm springs, does anyone know the standard springs I will have in my mk5 fiesta (2001)

You can probably get away with just changing the springs. But if you have the cash you could do a really good job and get springs, shocks, strut braces, and maybe anti-roll bars. Then you will see a nice difference :)

Maybe go to a specialist garage and see what they say, also browse the web for prices and suchlike

if you have the money get some coilovers fitted, these can be lowered and changed around while they are on the car so if your not happy with the hight its easy to change back.

best to find a good garage to do it aswell

Having a quick look on the t'interweb.. There's a nice set of Eibachs (highly recommended) pro springs.

They are a direct replacement and your stock springs will be fine on them, I had them on my focus and never had any issues. But I personally wouldn't go as low as 60mm, you'd have to get the whole lot done for that.

If you are in Essex, you may want to pay a visit to Elite's in Rainham and see what they say, they will sell, fit and deal with the alignment all together.

have a look on pumaspeed, they have alot of mods including suspension kits etc..

Eibach are best springs, if you go over 40mm the shortened shocks are recommend but coilovers would be better if you want over 40mm
