I'm guessing at about £25.00 - £50.00. Depending on the dealer

The average price for a key alone is about 50-60, but then you have to factor in the art of cutting and coding.

As you seem to have the older model, if you have the programming key and one other then you should be alright, you could get a key cheaper off eBay, then get it cut independantly.

How many keys do you currently have?

If you have two original keys already then you can buy a new one off eBay, get the blade cut to match then programme it to the immobiliser and central locking yourself.

If you only have one key at present then you would be better served by an Auto Locksmith.

Ford would add on costs by insisting on a diagnostic and labour charges.

With key cover you would get replacement keys, ring your company and check.

You may find that any excess costs you more than sorting a key via eBay yourself though.

I have a tame local locksmith and he does all the keys for my local dealer.

They pay him a flat rate £85 per key and trouser the rest.
