Secret Compartment Catch

I want to do the secret compartment mod under the stereo . And I was wondering if you could get the push lock catch thing in the hole were the original pin thing goes into

I used a Brabantia Bin latch however it was so flimsy and I am so heavy handed I broke it within 5 minutes.

Will that fit in there

I couldn't say for sure as like i said while putting it in I squeezed it too hard and snapped it into pieces, I am sure if you do a search you will find an article by iNath who describes it, I didn't just think of a bin catch myself.
