alexp999
Not a good idea driving any car hard when you have just started it and its cold. You need to let the oil get round and reach temperature. Do you have a temperature gauge on your dash? I never push my car until it reaches the middle. In terms of stopping, I just give the engine a chance to idle for a few secs before turning the engine off to let the turbo spool down. Gary.J
Turbo needs to run so the oil can cool it before stopping the engine if you've been booting it, otherwise you'll cook the bearings as the oil in the turbo overheats and carbons up.Usually though, just driving the last couple of minutes at normal speeds is enough, Examples, pulling off a motorway to a services, or driving down your street to park up. Philf1
Agree with previous comments don't boot it off your drive just a few hundred yards at both ends of the journey usually does it.
