Noise From Front Of Car When Reversing

hi all

when i reverse up a slight gradient i sometimes get a loud noise from the front of the car. i was wondering if anybody else has had the same problem. and also my drivers side front wheel moves about i have a fiesta 1.0 ecoboost

yeah it's annoying sometimes it can be loud and other times it's ok have you been to a garage yet

Is it possibly the hill assist holding the brakes on as it's a gradient?

I thought hill start assist aswell , mine does exactly the same thing.

No :( hill start off and still does it. Something to do with how the clutch plate vibrates in reverse. It's a known problem but not recognised as a fault.

Just had my clutch replaced under warranty for this very reason! I'm surprised they haven't recognised it as a fault yet.

i'm going to contact the dealership again to have them look at it again it's good to know that there is a car that got fixed with this fault what dealership did you get your car fixed at

It was the Dees dealer franchise, this was after I had contacted ford uk to make a complaint about it.

Is it something that needs fixing as in if you leave it as it is the clutch is on its way out etc or can we leave it? I'm not all that bothered by it?

I honestly have no idea, however it's a noise that shouldn't be there and a new clutch seems to have solved it.
