ok thanks alot for that .. i shall be booking it in soon then. :-)

they also told me that they wernt sure if they wanted to do the side trim incase it flaked off

surely that wouldnt happen if it was primed properly ?

side trim should be fine if rub down and primed

quite a few people here have sprayed them. They look good

but whatch out for doors opening on them as it marks the paint easy

good luck with it dez ;)

Spary the mirrors yourself, paint and primer only costs a tenner.

Ok fair enough. about 90% of the job is in the prep work... Would probably be best to buy pre-primed parts from ford for best results if possible

I want mirror covers to go over my ones but they don't do them in Oyster silvers

100 quid for a pair of plastic covers !!!

I think the black trim etc looks good, breaks the car up a bit ....

Give the trim a good clean, i personally use Meguiars Trim Detailer and itl bring it up like new, would certianly be cheaper?

Yeah I seen chrome ones on eBay was gonna get the grill and door hands to go with them but then thought too much hassle and I don't have the time or cash really. I quite like the black on me car anyways just wouldn't mind giving my wing mirrors a splash of colour coding aswell.

Exact ones I found.

Look at the price

Yeh, the price is a bit steep and i would imagine there will be postage costs on top of that!

would the st mirrors fit on a pre - facelift mk6 tho ?

and i think 100 pound is a bit steep

i have just been to a garage and they said they could do them for 40 pound.

but im not sure what they will look like, not sure if i trust the garage.

According to the site they will fit the Mk6 Fiesta from 21/12/2005 onwards ..

But if youre getting a quote of £40 then i would go for that, shop around and use that quote against other garages?

if your still looking to do this, then do a DIY job :) primer paint and laquer £9.00, only £3.00 a rattle can and you only need one of each. just make sure you remove all the texture from on the wing mirror before spraying. :)
