Mountune!

Featured Replies

Hi. Well I've had my st fiesta (pocket rocket )3 weeks now and I've decide to add the mtune 215 power upgrade alone with mountune slide decals. Very excited but there's a 4 week waiting list.

Has any had this fitting to a mk7 fiesta st yet? If so are you happy with it? I will add photos when the work is done.

That's a quick decision to get the upgrade. What made you want to do it so soon? I've not had it done myself but am considering it. Will have to save some pennies first though. Would be interested in how you find living with it afterwards.

Can't say I'm keen on the stripes but that is my personal opinion and if its what you want go for it.

Did you feel the difrence?

I've had the upgrade fitted before I pick the car up, so am keen to know.

I've had it fitted on both of my STs, yes you do notice the difference, more noise, more torque, putting your foot down feels like your in the next gear down, makes overtaking effortless.

I wouldn't go that far, but it is noticeable. It's less than a 10% increase in power and that's what it feels like.

It's nearer 20% according to my calculations.

That's because of the confusing way Ford and Mountune state the power figures. It's an increase from 200PS to 215PS (on overboost).

So it's about 7.5% more power and 10% more torque.

Dont think its really worth the money, when you're only getting slightly more..

Yeah it is too expensive really for what it is. I don't regret getting it though.

In my opinion, it does make a difference, it's not about the bhp increase it's the extra torque which changes the way it drives.

Compared to other stage 1s it's not that much more expensive considering the induction kit and the warranty, also there's not much difference in power between it and other maps, they may feel differnt in the way they put the power down, others may relax the torque limiting in 1st and 2nd or move the power band lower down the rev range.
