Egr Valve Cleaning

Hi guys,

Could anyone take a photo or point me in the right direction as to the steps of removing the EGR valve and cleaning it?

I will make a picture guide once i know how to do this.

My EML keeps clocking on every few days relating to: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Control Module - Fault Code.

Presuming that is meaning a blocked / faulty EGR Valve.

Have you back probed the EGR signal wire to see if it's receiving a signal to open?

Personnaly i would not waste my time cleaning it (unless you are cleaning the inlet manifold as well - one last time) and just fit a solid EGR blanking plate - this would probably save you a lot of time/ money/ hassle than messing with it

Will it fix the issue with the EML coming back up? Also is it a MOT fail or?
