Hello all, i have recently fitted Some drilled grooved discs and green stuff pads to my focus 1.6 zetec s 2009. I'm having all sorts of issues with noise and braking since the change, after much head scratching someone has to told me might be due to the discs wrong way round???? I'll upload a photo to show how they are on the car currently , any advice would be great, the photo is of the passenger side hub.

They are useless on anything other than a race car the grooves wear pads quicker take longer to warm up and not necessary for road use unless you have some serious power under the bonnet

I looked into getting grooved / drilled disks but was put off by the jet engine noise they make. Air gets trapped in the grooves when braking and the noise is a side affect of that.

They're designed to drag air in to keep them cool, if fitted the wrong side like rotational tyres then they can't do their job.

I can't say I ever noticed any difference when I used to use them on the focus. The only issue was the pads were quite harsh.
