Cc3 Electric Window

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My 2009 cc3 has been good to me for 5 years but now the rear passenger window won't unwind. All other windows work fine but I can't pop my roof down in the recent good weather which is rather missing the point of the cc3. I thought it was probably the switch as there is no sound when operated. However, I found it easy to change switches with another door but the problem remains. I am guessing it is now motor but am not sure... are there separate fuses for each window?

If it is the motor does anyone know how to access and change it. I took the door panel off today but was unsure where the regulator and motor were because the folding mechanism is also nearby.

Cheers

Hi all,

It's a bit worrying there have been no replies! Is this an obvious problem to solve or is there no experience out there?

Hi all,

Just an update. Rear window Still not working. The passenger front window regulator broke last week and the local ford garage thought the rear window could be solved by repairing the front. AnywAy £420 later the rear window problem remains. Ford want to charge £95 to identify the problem. Has anyone got the complete Ford IDS in bristol/North Somerset? Otherwise, it seems I can buy the motor for the rear window separately from the regulator. Has anyone stripped the rear window on a cc3?

Cheers

hi Pmcdw the problem you have is the same as mine  it could be the back window control module or the window mechanism . to get to both you have to take out the back seat.

it is an awkward proceedure but doable. For information on how to do this go to u tube and view ford focus rear window regulator replacement. You will note that it is done with the

roof down which is a problem but on the same u tube sight the AA have a video about closing the roof when there is a fault  .I would assume that this system works in reverse.I am going to try taking the window control module from the left hand side and connect it to the right. If this works then i have found the fault. If this fails then its the regulator. Hope this helps

I have just changed the modules over and success the window works so i've ordered a new one from e bay £46.00.GOOD LUCK
