IB3Andrew
Hi all! I drive a 2007 Ford Focus mk 2 in black! " My Car: http://gyazo.com/b49333c016f68a6c8e0edbf80649e24f " I'd like to take this ST bumper from an 07 also and put it on my car once painted etc. " ST Bumper: http://gyazo.com/9f8786dc40f0dcdd8c1f26cffcf40dba " Hope this isent a silly question but will it fit and be an easy enough job? Or am I going to need some sharp blades and a whole tonne of hot glue? hahaha Any help would be brilliant! Cheers Guys! - Andrew (P.S) If the links to the pictures done work i'll attach them here. STEADS
I think as long as it's off an st2 and not a 3 you should be ok I,m sure lots on here have done this I know you can swop the rears from a say zetec s 2.5 on to a mk2 straight swop so can't see the problem with this bumper as long as it's not off a st3 with the new style lights like the 2.5 focus . IB3Andrew
Yeah i've made sure to get the ST 2 one! Spot on thank you! Just a pain as the guy on eBay seems to be messing me around! :(
SattyDhillon
Andrew, the bumper will be a straight swap but the under tray may be an issue. I've changed my bumpers and had to cable tie my bumper to the under tray. Your standard fog lights will not fit therefore you will have to buy new fog lights.
salsheikh
there is a guide on the net - jamessimpson.co.uk my undertray was also different so drill a few holes and screwed it the the bottom of the bumper by removing the centre lower grill(mines a facelift)
IB3Andrew
Thats ace! yeah I had presumed about the under tray and such, but im sure it wont be too much of a problem! I dont suppose buying the ST undertray would make much of a difference? Would still have to chop and drill a few bits? I knew about the stock fog lights as well! not an issue as I hardly use them anyway, but i'll sort them out sooner or later! Cheers guys, I was pretty sure everything would be fine with the bumper swap, just wanted another opinion to calm myself! hahaha Will let you know how I get on! kpg
If the fog lights are different does that mean they have to be coded in or are they a straigbt swap too? Sent from my HTC One using Ford OC mobile app
IB3Andrew
I have the feeling they'd just be a straight swap? presuming the use the same connections etc? I'm not entirely sure though! Haven't looked fully into the fog lights as its not something im immediately worried about!

salsheikh
when i changed mine (facelift) the fogs were the same so i'm assuming that it would be the same for yours. i still havent fitted mine as i needed to get 2 brackets from ford to make them fit and looking at it i think i might have to take the bumper off to make them fit :-( i'm hoping i can get away with just removing the arch liners....will find out at the weekend (sunday) when i give it a go with my old man. IB3Andrew
Just an update folks! The bumper arrived yesterday evening! checked it over & everything's fine. As well as including all the fascias, bezels & grills he's given me both fog light units, the bulbs, & about a meter or so of wire either side to connect them up! Absolute hero! haha Bumpers at a mates for the next few days who'll sand/prime & paint it for me, then i'll get onto swapping them over on the car! gforce
As above, the bumper will be a straight swap and having noticed from the pics that the fogs were included, they'll be straight swap also. From you avatar pic you have fogs fitted already, so you'll not even need the length of wiring, the existing plugs will go straight in to the bulb holders on the new fogs. The new fogs are the same as those on all facelift Mk2.5 models, but luckily enough mount directly onto the prefacelift bumper, so no need for the extra brackets that Sal's having an issue with on the facelift. The bulbs are different (H8 pre-facelift, H11 facelift and ST) but as they've been included also, you're good to go! I fitted a full ST kit to my pre-facelift Focus with no issues if you want a look at my old thread. By the way, are they genuine carbon grills and surrounds on it? They can fetch a serious bit of coin if they are. Also, with regard to the ST-2 and ST-3 references earlier in the thread, the 2 and 3 refer to the spec level, not the age/Mk of the car. IB3Andrew
I'll update with pictures soon! & thanks a lot gary thats great to hear! I'm not 100% sure! any ideas how i'd be able to tell if there genuine? I know carbon fibers lighter etc, but i dont have another one to compare too! I dosent bother me either way but would be nice to know! Cheers!
gforce
No probs mate, look forward to the pics. I'm honestly not sure either what the craic is with the carbon bits, but even if they've just been dipped well they could still spin you a few quid in return for standard ones if you ever needed to generate some mod funds! Here's the carbon ones for sale through TeamTorquesteer and PumaSpeed...looking at £400-600 new for a full set of front upper and lower grilles and fog surrounds, and they still fetch a good price through eBay! http://www.teamtorquesteer.co.uk/05-focus-st-exterior-styling/focus-st-carbon-effect-front-lower-grille.html http://www.pumaspeed.co.uk/product_category.jsp I gloss black'd all mine and made a massive difference, wish I'd done it earlier, but I think the carbon ones will look well against your black.
