Ticking Engine Noise

Hi there!

When I started my 1996 Ford Ka 1.3 Endura e last morning the engine made a strange ticking noise. The noise appeared when I started the engine, during low gears and when I depressed the clutch in high gears or when I took my foot off the throttle. Several people on the internet indicated it could be one of the tappets, but the sound doesn't get any faster/louder when I accellerate and it sounds nothing like the sound in this video

I'm not too familiar with car mechanics so I'm hoping one of you is able to provide me with a possible explanation or fix for the problem, as I don't want to waste a couple hundred of euros on a garage if it's something I can fix myself with a spanner.

Thanks in advance!

if tappets got local car shop like Halfords & buy a bottle of tappet additive. do an oil change & filter then fill with new oil &

add the full bottle of additive & drive as normal. it maytake a few hundred miles or 2 weeks to quiet down. you do not

need to drain it all out after just leave in until next oil change and do the same. it may help if it's the tappents it done the trick on my car
