    The Focus MK3 is not always prepared for towbar electronics. As far as I know only the early MK3 did have the wiring loom which is necessary to connect the towbar electronics. On later MK3's Ford decided to reduce costs and not install this wiring loom on cars which do not have a factory fitted towbar.

    If your car does not have the towbar electronics preparation you have to retrofit this wiring loom as well. After the towbar electronics are installed it will be necessary to program the towbar module to the car.
