Yes - they are different trim levels or models - Like the old L LX Ghia, Ghia X and Titanium X etc

For exact details you would have to ask about specific models - and don't ask me because i don't really care if its not about tuning or Mondeos

Originally the Zetec name was only used for the engine then later they used the name as a trim level.

The ZetecS is a Zetec but comes with a 1.6 engine (petrol or diesel) and has stiffer suspension and body kit and slightly different seats.

The 1.6 Titanium performs exactly the same but doesn't have the bodykit etc (unless it was put on) but has a lot more standard kit. In a way a 1.6 petrol Titanium 3 door with the body kit is a brilliant setup but they are very rare.

My Zetec S has a 1.0 litre petrol engine.

If I'm not much mistaken on the latest model the zetec petrol comes with 1.0lite 100ps whereas the zetec s is 125ps despite both being 1litre. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I had the ZS in 1.6tdci form and apart from anything else the exterior looked way cooler, with the honeycomb grille, different diffusers and sportier spoiler. It looks a lot closer to the ST than any other model.

As of the 2013 Fiesta brochure, the Zetec comes with a 1.0 (100 PS) engine; the Zetec S is in a 125 PS version and both the Titanium and Titanium X are available in both 100 or 125 PS engines. However, I recall the salesman telling me the Titanium 125 PS versions are about as rare as chicken teeth and almost impossible to get hold of. Not sure if he was telling me porkies, but it didn't matter to me personally as I had the Zetec S in mind anyway when I was looking to change my car.

This was correct until the MK7.5 came out with the 1.0L Ecoboost. :)
