Wind Deflectors

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I'm looking at getting some wind deflectors for my 2008 ZS, I've heard of the two 'main' variants being Team Heko and Climair. I was just wondering if anyone has tried them which they would recommend going for or maybe you have a different set?

Thanks!

I have the team heko and there slightly darker tinted than the climair. Can't fault them either :)

Heko are good but in my experience seem a little fragile.

Climair again in my experience appear more robust but take a little longer to 'bed in'.

I had a set of heko on my Mk1 Focus and had to return them twice for replacement as the corners snapped on them in transit.

I have climair on my Mk2 and they are still going strong after 2 years.

i do believe heko's come in light and dark smoke whereas climair only come in one medium smoke tint.

I have climair on mine and cant fault them. Some friends at work have team heko ones and cant fault them either. There is a styling difference between them too. I would definitely buy climair ones again as they feel really robust.

It is advisable yes, fit them at night so will be ready for the morning ;)

Probably a stupid question but what do they do ? I only ever open the windows to get a ticket out of an automatic barrier or to clear outside condensation. I rely on the climate control to keep cool :D

Do you only get a benefit if you drive round with the windows down ?

You can drive around with the windows cracked open in the rain to speed up demisting and they help to deflect rain a bit so it doesn't come down onto the sill and into the car.

Also they add a nice detail to the car and look cool imho.

I preferred the design of Climair - but they scratch the hell out of the tops of your windows.

Heko are darker as previously said, they also use little clips to keep them in place, but it also stops the window rubbing against the deflector and not scratchng

I don't have them & don't see any benefit in having them unless you like the look, as I can still 'crack my window down' without rain coming in when I'm driving.

Fitted a set of deflectors got them off the internet from a company called Micksgarage reasonably priced and easy to fit

,

The very dark hekos look quite good matches the black paint.
