Rear Drum Brakes Seized.

This morning I went to move my car and as I took the handbrake off and went to pull away it felt as if the handbrake was still on.

I pulled away and there was a clunk now everything seems fine.

Will my brakes be ok? Or will I have to get the drums off and replace the shoes?

Mine's done this a few times. My previous Corsa did it too. Never been any other ongoing problems as a result.

Mine did it a few times and my corsa also did it too. Just drop the clutch and it goes bang and frees it up. To be honest it happens a little every time I have washed the car but sometime it seems the shoes have proper welded to the drum.

The way the weather is now it's likely to be rust, either rain or condensation followed by hot and humid will seize it, I wouldn't worry about it.
