New Ford Fiesta 2013 Vs Fiesta 2006

Featured Replies

UK:

hi, i am driving a fiesta mk6 2006 and would like to know how it compares

to new ford fiesta 2013 or 2014 in terms of boot space and ride height
(the gap from ground to the bottom base of the car) - the reason being the new
fiesta wheels looks tiny and lower in terms of ride height. wondering if i will
have any problems with driving through speed bumps or get up a kerb ?

also does anyone know how i can find info on the maximum speed bumps and kerb under

british road regulations?

thanks

Hey man,

I love the 02-08' shape fiesta, its a lovely car! I gonna try to save up to buy one of those!

Anyway the 2014 fiesta has 290 litres of boot capacity incomparision with your 2006 fiesta which has 261 litres. I have driven the 2013 fiesta, 63' plate 1.4 tdci, its my instructors car and I can assure you, speed bumps and kerbs are not a problem. The car seems low, but its not a problem, its got plenty of clearence in height.

For more info, just try looking on Parkers, Its got all the manufacturers specifications, dimensions, epa ratings, tax calculator etc. P.s the link should answer most of your questions ;).

I wouldn't worry about such trivial problems with the best selling car in Europe it is easily tall enough to get over the speed bumps unless they are like mountains in your area, the wheels are smaller by design I think because of the amount of people taking the mk6 alloys back to ford buckled from aggressive pot holes and things the higher side walled tires protect fords soft alloy a bit more, the zetec upgrade and zs wheels of the newer ones look nice though.

The best way to compare two different models is to use car comparison websites where we can compare prices prices, models, functionality and conditoins from different retailers. I found some comparison there. Thanks for sharing this link. Compare Panda is another options where we can compare prices on millinos of products including cars and auto car accessories.
