Hey All,

I am a proud owner of the Ford Fiesta 1.25L Manual Transmittion.

I have the nexus 5 with a regular bumper case.

I want to buy a car mount holder for my Fiesta.

I've noticed the fiesta has a slight curved windshield and regular car mount holders

are blocking the view.

Furthermore,

The lighter exit is in a place so when I connect the charger from there to the windshield

It will make it hard for me to use the manual transmission gear.

Would highly appreciate if you can suggest me a good nice car mount holder

for the fiesta- one that won't block the view will be not too expensive.

Furthermore,

How do you suggest for me to charge my phone without interrupting me

to drive using the manual transmittion gear?

Can I charge the phone without cable here?

I used the Montar Car mount when I had my N5 - and now use it with my HTC One M8.

Its very firmly attached to the windscreen and great to be able to use it with any phone up to 5.3". I'm always changing phones so this is vital for me.

It fits perfectly for the 2014 model, no problem.

Don't think it will fit with bumper case, mine fits tightly and i don't have a case on.

For charging i kind of made my own device and hard wired it into the fuse box, so i didnt have to have that cable running from the 12v outlet.

I can try to describe the process:

1. Buy a normal 12v to USB connector, and tear it apart! (bought this one: http://www.dx.com/p/a008-mini-car-cigarette-powered-charging-adaper-charger-w-usb-output-black-12v-289684#.U4SFa_l_tws)

2. When you teared it apart, get some wire and a soldering iron, connect like this:

Negative comes from the "frame" and plus from the end - now you have the basic for a hardwire connector.

3. Get a "power thief" and find a available slot in the fuse box, witch is live when you turn to ignition (use a tester for this..)

Dont know the correct name for a "power thief" but looks like this:

4. Plug in a fuse (used a 10amp one) and plus goes in the red wire (duh.. :D)

5. Do your wiring, if you will do placement like me, i found a negative in the footwell of the drivers side (but here in Denmark we have drivers side in the other side then UK), i simple took from there.

6. Plug in USB cable and wire to where ever you want it

7. Strap in the usb charger it self somewhere so it dosent rattle.

Also, the USB charger it self, insulate it in some insulation tape or something :)

Maybe a bit confusing, i can help with pictures if needed! (or maybe create a guide..)

Nah, had mine six months now. Nothing happened.

I think it ruins the design of the phone to just slap an ugly cover on it, plus the nexus isn't as sensitive to drops as a iphone would be..

Anyway, everyone have their own opinion about this sort of things :-)
