Guys, I know there's lots of things on here about tyres,but with so much information it can get a bit daunting. So I need a pair of tyres for my focus (1.8 Diesel).any ideas. Thanks as usual.

    generally well recommended are the Avon ZV5, good value for money and good performance. Had them on my Kia Cee'd and many have them on their Focus and they are an excellent pair of boots, stable, gripping, well lasting and well placed on the dB scale.

    They are indeed ;)

    I use them and find grip and lifespan excellent.

    I also recommend Goodyear Efficientgrip.

    Just got two of these on my fronts. They seem good so far, not had any particularly challenging conditions though. Much better than the bald ones they replaced anyway, braking distance was starting to get scary (were still above the legal limit FYI!).
