Broken Dipstick - How Much Oil Needed?

I am still waiting for my replacement dipstick so cant accurately measure oil level. How much oil do i need in my 2004 1.4 tdci?

go a breakers yard, and get one out of the 1.4 hdi 204

maybe 4 1/2 ltr? of 5w30 fully synthetic... could always consult the handbook

Book doesn't say amount, perhaps because it assumes the car doesnt have a broken dipstick

all fluid amount etcc is in the handbook along with car dimensions etc....
