Ok dreadz just done a blanket email to a whole load of tuners, and mobile tuners ....... see who gets back in touch.

like you say once the Dpf has been removed from the ecu then there is no need for the fluid to be in use... hell whats the point in injecting diesel back into diesel just to keep the system happy.

I do totally hear what you are saying.

  • mines remapped and dpf removed- but interesting that you manually removed dpf from the system -and not remapped yet but able to reset light - wonder how long before it comes on again? keep us posted p

  • he's talking rubbish pal -the dpf is purely a visual check -that sensor is nothing to do the check at all. ..believe what you choose- but trust me that method you have advised is the half assed method

  • who's doing the reamp? you have several companies around your area that will do the job properly- as i was going to travel up that way to get mine but found a tuner that offered to do it as advised. m

honestly shouldnt take longer than 30mins to an hour to program the ecu also- so no need to have courtesy car(just wait for it to be done)

it may cost slightly more at one of the bigger companies but the support network is there of something goes wrong.

  • Author

just got a reply from one of the companies i sent an email to....he's only 14 miles from were i am and he'll come to me...his charge £195 this company... http://www.aceremapping.co.uk/

any that state it needs filling- stay away from pal. my system is empty and has been since remapping back in september. so if they cannot do without this requirement then look elsewhere.

what you want is somewhere where they map it and have rolling road-ie Bigfish, avon tuning,more-bhp ....plenty around will tell you what it should be done like. infact Avon tuning post on this forum-i'll find there member and you can speak to them

  • Author

cheers bud.....that would be a help.

search for Avon tuning (thats the user name), they have replied on page 2 of the thread that i linked at the top of this page.

  • Author

cheers bud ...... i shall message them and see what they can do for me.

Ok the bloke just rang me from ACE..... and we talked...he does the same service as you have dreadz.....no need to fill the eloys tank...so booked in for the 27th of this month...sweet...140 bhp and more miles to the gallon.

  • Author
Once remapped it should be running about 140bhp.

No the eloys system doesn't have to be refilled just the diesel tank. ....... this is the email quote that he just sent me to confirm what he said on the phone..... happy chap i am.

glad you hopefully getting sorted pal. just didnt want to see you ending up with the crap method that others have fallen for. keep us posted .

i had egr delete done when mine was remapped. just saves any further problems down the line. consider blocking off with blanking plate mate if not already done(cant remember if u have or not hahaha)

  • Author

yeah dreadz already blanked, but the lad coming on the 27th is going to alter the software for that also...really helpful he was.

He's going to alter things as we drive while doing a live read...once he's done the remap...and he'll make a backup of my files so that if at anytime i want it putting back to normal he can.

  • Author

yep all done dreadz ....... goes like a dream...alot better than when i bought it..... he did have a few isusses with the eloys but he got there in the end..... so no more regen's .. and no worries over the Dpf either.

  • 1 month later...

good results here guys!

  • Author

Mine also sailed through it's mot last week ...... MOT tester commented on how clean the emmisons were.....once i had the ticket in my hand i told him that i'd had the DPF removed and remapped ... his comment was "best thing you've done lad " ..... so happy days all :driving: round.

Ain't it just sweet when things like that happen........ Diesel is far cleaner than petrol for emissions if looked after propley.

Just saving up now for a nice exhaust system then it will be wheels after that.
