Fiesta Diy Home Servicing Question

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!

First off, just joined the forum and this is my first post and wanted to introduce myself and ask a couple of questions!

I've got a 2009 1.4tdci Fiesta MK7 Titanium which, now that it's out of warranty, I'm going to service myself.

I've already changed over the air filter, pollen filter and tomorrow I'm gonna change the oil and oil filter. However, I also want to change the diesel filter and from trawling through the forum have found a lot of posts where people have had difficulty and starting problems afterwards? Is there a definitive method for doing it? I worked on my previous car with no problems, but have found it a bit tough finding guides and step-by-step how-to guides for Fiesta servicing.

Any links or information would be fantastic!

Cheers!

I also trawled the net regarding changing the fuel filter - I connected my vacuum pump

(which I also use to suck the oil from the sump via the the dip stick tube) to the outlet side of the fuel filter and suck fuel through from the tank to fill the filter.

Started first time :)
