tuckerp
Well here we go this is my focus MK2 55 plate 1.8 TDCi Zetec. Not a bad looking car standard, but I like mods. The Start First mod I did was swapped out the standard side light bulbs, and put in some LED ones. Next Mod was to fit some DRL's had a fun day trying to get a wire through the engine bay. Was going to put a switch in for them, but ended up taking the easy option and running of the side lights. But they look ok running with the side lights. For my next Mod was a new exhaust, I went for a Powerflow stainless cat back custom made by rebel power pipes. Here is the before and after photos. Old exhaust Old one gone New One been fitted All finished looking good Now with the new exhaust fitted I had the car remapped to release the additional horses. These where the figures I was quoted: Standard: 115 BHP 250NM Remapped: 145 BHP 305NM The car feels much more responsive. Now this thread is up to date as some of these mods was done a month or to ago. This is how the car currently sits but more to come. martyntdci
nice example of the mk2 there paul..... 1 mistake, unless its warm dont rev it like that, as this is where majority of the engine wear comes from..... let oil circulate proper first.... other than that, sounds sweet.... :D
tuckerp
Thanks should be some more updates soon. Don't worry the engine was warm before filming that clip. Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
tuckerp
Some more updates this weeks mod of Foot-well lighting. I was given this neon light rig from my brother, and instead of letting it go to waist I decided to install it. I have see similar rigs on eBay for people wanting to install this. This the Rig I did want to have to run a cable through the engine bay to get a live feed. I could of got one off the interior lights. But I decided to piggy back off the cig lighter. This is how the cig lighter is normally wired. I made up some cables to piggy back off this, Made up off a spade and female + male piggy back connector. This then gave me the live I needed for the lights. But I could still leave the original connector in place, if in need to revert this mod. Now to feed all the wires back, I uses to double sided foam tape to stick the blue box back behind so it didn't rattle about. I used one of the blanks to mount a switch in. I mounted the neon strips at the top of each foot-well, Now I had to wait until it was dark, and this was the out come.

jeebowhite
I love that headunit! I had it in my CMAX, but when I transferred over to the mondy I didnt have the cage for it, so handed it over to the father in law to use in his motor. It is a very good headunit! The other mods look like they will all add up nicely!

tuckerp
Seen as the sun is out it also brings the bad drivers out the woodwork. So I through I would put my go pro to good use. Seen as go pro charge £40 for a mount and I didn't fancy a hong kong special off eBay. So for the sum of £3 I made my own. One suction cup off a phone holder, with a piece of metal screwed on. Affix flat mount which came with the go pro. Attach camera Stick in windscreen. This is a photo from the go pro, with the wide angle you get a good field of view. Job done :)
