Exhuast Too Loud

Featured Replies

ok my cobra non res sports cat back is good and sounds good but on a long drive god its annoying, so to make it quiter ive got a plan and wanted some thoughts if it will work, ive got some wire wool stainless steel and heat resistant so it wont melt, im going to put this all of 5m of the stuff in the silencer on the rear, and make a little stopper so it carnt fly out, also im putting sound proofing inside the boot carpet and wheel well to stop and noise coming in from the back

do you think this would work?

No you'll be restricting the exhaust. Get some dynamat, remove rear seats and carpet and cover the entire floor and boot with the stuff. It's absolutely brilliant stuff and will kill a lot of the sound out.

Ive got some sound proofing coming and will fit that, but will it be enough? And why carnt i add the wire to the back box? I'll try the sound proofing first and then go from there, im planning on doing all the boot and if i have enough left under the rear seats too

we had to have 1 fitted to our scoob, after numerous complaints of the neighbours to the council.... (we own our own home)..

apparently a fully de-catted burble is not accrpted at 7am, revved to 3k lmao.....

Thing you need to think of is what is it going to sound like after it isn't going to make it quieter it'll just lower the pitch if anything. Can't you get a resonated centre pipe?
