Egr Valve Cleaner.

Featured Replies

Hey Chaps, has anybody used the valoline erg and turbo cleaner.

Nope. Most member have just plated their egr valve that used a cleaner to just clean the dirt the egr left behind. So most member will recommend you do that, then clean.

Cheers.

I used Whynns EGR cleaner, not too dissimilar in nature, but I learned that I wouldnt want to use it again. I blanked the EGR off on my CMAX, and decided before I did that, I would give the EGR a clean with this stuff. Dont get me wrong, it did a good job, and the car ran a little better between running the cleaner and blanking the valve, but in hinsight, if it dislodged the carbon I could have been looking at a stuffed engine.
