2014 Fiesta Ecoboost, The Handbrake Trap, Centre Console Removal!

My daughter has dropped a single front door key down the famous gap at the rear of the Fiesta handbrake.

It's not visible and she knows that's where it went.

The console is going to have to come out, can anyone point me at a step by step guide please?

    Yours has the later console but I assume the method is the same. You will need a plastic trim removal tool so you don't damage anything and then working from the gear lever surround backwards you can prise off and unscrew it all off. There are plenty of how-toos on the internet including youtube. The Haynes manual is useful too.
